The Ministry of Legal Affairs hosted an introductory session on the Bahraini Genome Programme, with the aim of introducing the Ministry’s employees to the role of the center, its objectives and the tasks assigned to it, in addition to providing them with a close understanding of the Bahraini Genome Programme, which aims to provide better healthy life opportunities for the people of the country, improve treatment opportunities and raise the quality of health services and prevention. On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Yousef bin Abdul Hussein Khalaf, Minister of Legal Affairs, praised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s adoption of this pioneering project and harnessing all capabilities to provide advanced health care with a high level of efficiency and quality and in line with the latest international standards.

The Minister of Legal Affairs also appreciated the role of those in charge of the National Genome Centre, and their sincere efforts to raise awareness of the importance of participating in the Bahraini Genome Program, develop solutions that suit the genetic makeup of the Kingdom’s citizens, and limit the spread of genetic disorders and chronic diseases in a way that benefits health, and the safety of citizens.
